What You’ll Do
As an intern in GIZ’s Communication and Event Management team, you will:
- Enhance Brand Communication: Support the “Changing Transport” brand by creating engaging content for their website, managing social media channels, and developing newsletters.
- Organize Events: Assist in planning and executing both onsite and online events that align with their communication strategy and program design.
- Content Creation: Develop compelling content for online campaigns and print materials, contributing to their communication products.
- Knowledge Management: Help with internal knowledge management tasks, focusing on promoting sustainable mobility and development initiatives.
Who They’re Looking For
GIZ is seeking candidates who are:
- Educational Background: Currently studying or have graduated in event management, media, communications, environmental sciences, political or social sciences, urban planning, or a related field.
- Passionate About Development Policy: You should have a keen interest in development policy and an understanding of the transport sector’s challenges in emerging and developing countries.
- Digitally Savvy: Strong digital skills, with familiarity in using social media platforms, are essential.
- Creative and Independent: Able to independently implement creative ideas efficiently.
- Organized and Hands-On: Excellent organizational skills, time management, and a proactive approach to work are crucial.
- Strong Communicator: Proficiency in English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills, is required. Knowledge of German or other languages is a plus.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience with Office programs and design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is advantageous.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in an international team, with strong intercultural communication skills.
What They Offer
- Stipend: A monthly stipend of €2,134.52 (gross).
