Internship Details
Position Overview
- Title: Internship for Partnership and Advocacy
- Duty Station: Tokyo, Japan
- Duration: March 2025 – December 2025 (3–6 months)
- Work Modality: Hybrid (office and telework, negotiable)
- Stipend: JPY 5,500/day (inclusive of transport costs)
Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will directly contribute to UNICEF’s mission through the following tasks:
- Enhancing Donor Visibility
- Research and organize advocacy materials for donors and media.
- Digital Communication
- Update and improve the Tokyo office’s website and social media accounts.
- Translation and Content Development
- Translate UNICEF press releases and publications into Japanese.
- Event Support
- Provide logistical support for workshops and consultations.
- Other Assignments
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Public Partnership Specialist.
Who Should Apply?
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this prestigious opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in or a recent graduate (within two years) from a university or graduate school.
- Commit to working 4 days per week for 3–6 months.
- Have an interest in UNICEF’s focus areas, including child rights, education, health, and gender.
- Possess experience in international cooperation, humanitarian assistance, or development.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in English and Japanese (oral and written).
- Have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in translating communication materials.
- Public relations or event management background.
- Website and social media management expertise.
